LEED Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Leader in Green Consulting has an immediate opening for a LEED Mechanical Commissioning Engineer. This position's primary purpose is to manage technical projects including new building commissioning, LEED fundamental commissioning, LEED enhanced commissioning, existing building commissioning, and commissioning of retrofit/renovation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • -Design reviews of HVAC systems, building automation systems, fire alarm/suppression systems
  • -Mechanical inspection (QA/QC) team leader
  • -Progress and other report writing
  • -Construction site observation
  • -Preparing test procedures for checking operation of mechanical systems
  • -Ongoing client interface about project progress
  • -Daily interaction with management team
  • -Lead project commissioning meetings
  • -Proactive problem identification and resolution
  • -Verify conformance to design documents
  • -Coordination and verification of as-built drawings
  • -Coordination and review of shop drawings
  • -Develops commissioning reports
  • -Executes functional performance testing onsite
  • -Verifies completion of pre-functional checklists
  • -Manages, oversees, and executes all aspects of the commissioning process

Please note that relocation is not included with this position. Only candidates within the immediate geographic area will be considered.

Job Qualifications
  • -Educational Requirements Bachelors of Science in Engineering required. Active PE License also required.
  • -Experience in retro-commissioning, new building commissioning, and project management 
  • -Experience developing and conducting functional performance tests in buildings of multiple types, including labs, 
  • -Excellent oral communication and writing skills
  • -Professional Engineer License; CCP or equivalent required
  • -CEM, LEED AP desirable
  • -Experience with utility sponsored energy programs, especially retro-commissioning programs, a plus
  • -Experience in energy analysis a strong plus


  • -Strong skills in Microsoft Windows and Office (spreadsheet data entry, formulas, and data manipulation); familiarity with other engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, etc.
  • -Demonstrated ability and experience in managing and executing Existing Building Commissioning and New Building Commissioning projects.
  • -Demonstrated ability and experience in managing and scheduling technical projects in their entirety including jobsite observations and data collection, field testing and/or sub-metering, analysis
  • -Manage and coordinate LEED commissioning projects in entirety, including scheduling, running team meetings, project documentation for both USGBC and design team, and responding to design team requests for information
  • -Proficient speaking and writing skills for report writing and presentations to clients.
  • -Ability to manage projects teams consisting of technicians, junior engineers, staff engineers, and senior engineers
  • -The ability to travel
  • -Must have a working knowledge of building automation and control strategies for HVAC equipment
  • -Good knowledge of DDC controls and controls design
  • -Good knowledge of duct leakage testing, IEEE 519, SMACNA Duct Construction Standards, and ASHRAE Guidelines
  • -Knowledge of fire protection system design
  • -A thorough understanding of Mechanical Building Codes and Construction Standards

LEED Project Coordinator

The Opportunity
As a LEED Project Coordinator, you will be the primary liaison for all LEED-related matters for our Clients’. You will work closely with the LEED Director an act as the secondary facilitator for all LEED initiatives throughout the various stages of construction. Eventually, this role will lead to a Project Manager's position.  Responsibilities will include:
 
·        Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure that all tasks associated with LEED certification are tracking well
·        Liaising with consultants and taking full ownership of the execution of the LEED package delivery
·        Leading LEED product investigations, data tracking and administration to validate product compliance with sub-trades, vendors, consultants and clients
·        Tracking and scheduling of all LEED-specific tasks and deliverables such as: reporting on progress, managing schedules, identifying and escalating issues to Project Director as necessary, validating LEED checklists/approvals, investigating pricing
·        Supporting Health and Safety initiatives
 
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
·        A post-secondary education in Engineering or Construction Management
·        LEED AP certification
·        Experience working with consultants and taking ownership of the LEED plan, and managing its execution (preferably in an institutional environment involving more than just core/shell construction)
·        Experience leading LEED initiatives on at the very least 1 complete project (with a strong preference given to those having completed 3 or more)
·        Demonstrated experience coordinating construction activities using innovative thinking to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budgets in a structured work environment
·        A genuine passion for continuous improvement, and be dedicated to perpetuating a culture of safety, efficiency, and cooperation

Sales Representative – Construction Industry

Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. Develops and implements agreed upon Sales Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base in the sales area. Works within the company structure for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.


Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the sales of professional construction materials.
• MUST have construction industry experience.
• Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas listed.
• Develops annual sales plan to set yearly quota with Sales Manager.
• Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
• Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.

Part-time Bookkeeper/Accountant

Compensation: Dependent on Experience Multi-faceted company in Parrish, FL is looking for a Bookkeeper on a part-time basis for an immediate opening. As the Bookkeeper, you will process A/P and A/R, handle bank reconciliations, payroll processing and post journal entries. Some light filing and covering phones may be required. Job Requirements Bookkeeper candidates must be proficient in Quickbooks and Excel. Must have strong organizational skills. Solid communication skills and 2+ years experience is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required.
